Decorative wall panels are a fast and effective way to renovate a space – without major construction work, dust or lengthy procedures. Compared to traditional building solutions, they allow for clean and simple installation, making them suitable both for small refreshes and complete room transformations. Depending on the selected material and design, they help you quickly create a modern, warm or bold interior look.

A wide range of panels is available, differing in appearance, function and material. Acoustic panels improve sound comfort, wooden panels add warmth and a natural look, decorative tiles or brick-effect panels create striking feature walls, while upholstered panels enhance the feeling of comfort. Thanks to their durability, SPC panels are also ideal for high-traffic or humid areas.

Thanks to easy installation with mounting adhesives, the project is also suitable for DIY enthusiasts who want to achieve a professional result quickly and efficiently.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be solid, clean and free of dust, grease and loose particles. For certain materials, the surface may be slightly damp, but it must always be stable and load-bearing.

Choosing the right adhesive

For most decorative wall coverings (acoustic panels, upholstered panels, wooden panels, decorative tiles, brick-effect panels), we recommend:
TKK FIX EXPERT Quick & strong or TKK FIX EXPERT Fast & extreme – mounting adhesives with high initial grab, suitable for bonding heavier elements. Quick & strong is a universal choice, while Fast & extreme offers even higher initial tack for demanding or heavier applications where maximum initial strength is required.

 For materials exposed to movement or vibration (e.g. SPC panels), use:
TKK FIX EXPERT Elastic – an elastic adhesive that provides a durable and flexible bond.

Adhesive application

Apply the adhesive directly from the cartridge onto one of the surfaces:
• Quick & strong or Fast & extreme in horizontal lines
• Elastic in lines that allow air access for proper curing

Panel installation

Place the panel onto the wall and press it firmly against the surface.
Position the element at its final place no later than 15 minutes after adhesive application. For heavier panels, temporary mechanical fixation is recommended until initial grab is achieved.

Curing

The adhesive cures with air humidity. The curing speed is approx. 2–3 mm per day (under standard conditions), so additional support is recommended for larger elements.

Tip for a perfect result

For best adhesion, apply the adhesive in lines (not over the entire surface), enabling proper curing and long-term bond durability.
